A different kind of eye

I have always been the person who stops when everyone else keeps walking. Not because I am slow. Because something caught my eye. The dog at the third-floor window. The front yard someone planted in a city that mostly does not notice. The corner deli where a city's real identity lives.

I studied philosophy, which taught me that the question you ask shapes everything you see. Most travel photography asks: what is worth capturing here? I ask: what does it feel like to actually live here? That shift changes everything about what ends up in the frame.

When I am not shooting I am usually deep in a book, watching true crime documentaries, or on a long walk with my 10-year-old Golden Retriever. I shop second-hand, collect plants, run on scented candles, and believe the newest technology works best with a vintage aesthetic. Based in Upper Austria, 34, and I do not follow a script.
