@weilfernweh · Travel, Retreat & Wellness Space PhotographerI photograph places the way you'd actually live in them. Not the obvious shot, not the staged moment — the one that makes a place feel hard to leave. For retreat spaces, that means capturing what people are really looking for when they arrive: stillness, permission to slow down, a feeling they can't quite name but will recognise in an image. Based in Upper Austria, traveling with intention.
A different kind of eye
I have always been the person who stops when everyone else keeps walking. Not because I am slow. Because something caught my eye. The quality of silence before the first guest arrives. The light through a doorway that tells you exactly what a space is for.
I studied philosophy, which taught me that the question you ask shapes everything you see. Most photography asks: what is worth capturing here? I ask: what does it feel like to actually be present here? For retreat spaces, that shift matters more than anywhere — the image has to carry what people are searching for before they've even arrived.
In September I begin a Spiritual & Positive Psychology certification with meditation teacher training. Which means I don't just photograph these spaces — I understand what participants are seeking when they step into them. That understanding changes what I notice, and what makes it into the frame.
When I am not shooting I am usually deep in a book, on a long walk with my 10-year-old Golden Retriever, or hunting for something beautiful in a second-hand shop. Based in Upper Austria, 34, and I do not follow a script. On or off camera.
Content formats
Delivered to spec, on brand, on time.
Retreat & Sanctuary Photography
The full visual language of a retreat: the space before guests arrive, the textures of a morning practice, the quality of light that makes stillness feel like a choice. Content that communicates what a retreat actually feels like — not just what it looks like.
Spaces & Sanctuaries
Interiors, details, and the feeling of a room. The kind of image that makes someone want to book before they finish reading — or pack their bag and arrive with full presence.
Travel Photography

Let's make something quietly important.
I'd rather have one good conversation than ten brief ones. Tell me about your retreat, your space, and what you want people to feel when they see it. Especially interested in spaces that are doing something quietly important.
